The show ledger
Every entry the show has made, newest first — the working behind every figure on Takings. The last 100 are shown, which is a busy weekend.
| What | The card, or your description for a pile or an off-ledger sale |
|---|---|
| Device | Which phone did it — a dash if it was done from the admin |
| Amount | The price actually agreed, times the quantity. Not the website price. |
| Tender | Cash, Card, Bank transfer, Trade or Other. Posting a show keeps the tender on each order, so a trade is posted as a trade, not as cash. |
The tags
| Bought in | Money out — something you bought over the table |
|---|---|
| Off-ledger | A sale with no stock behind it: the binder box, loose commons |
| Undone | Reversed on the phone. The row stays, greyed out, and counts towards nothing. |
An undone entry is never deleted. It goes grey and drops out of every total, but the line stays where it was — so if a tin is short, the ledger can show you a sale was rung up and taken back rather than leaving a gap you cannot explain.
A trade that needed cash to balance appears as two lines: the trade itself, and a separate cash line marked cash out to balance or cash in to balance. That is why the tin adds up.
Nothing on this tab can be edited. It is the record.
