Wizard: by rarity

Help centre · Selling features

Somewhere to say "mythics are different" without setting a price on every mythic. The list is read from the catalogue, so it is whatever this game actually prints — five rarities for one game, thirty-nine for another.

Everything starts as "inherits"

The rarity step: every rarity the game prints, each a closed row marked inherits

Each rarity is a closed row marked inherits — it follows the conditions ladder you just set. Open only the two or three you price differently. That is the whole design: a wizard that asked for six numbers against thirty-nine rarities would be asking for two hundred and thirty-four.

What opening one gives you

One rarity opened, showing a Never buy tick above the same six-condition grade table

The same grade table as the previous step, plus a Never buy <rarity> tick above it that refuses that rarity outright in every condition.

The label beside the name is the state of the row, so you can read what you have done without opening anything:

It saysMeaning
inheritsUntouched. It follows the conditions ladder.
own pricesYou have given it rates of its own.
never boughtEvery condition is unticked — you refuse it.
A row you open and then leave with every box empty is still own prices rather than inherits. If you opened one to look and changed your mind, untick nothing and clear nothing — just leave the step by Back.

Rarity is asked first, and it wins

The next step asks the same question about card type. Where both could apply to one card — a Mythic Creature is both — the rarity rule answers and the type rule is never consulted. Worth knowing before you wonder why your Creature rate isn't showing up on your mythics.

If there is nothing here

"Nothing to set here for this game" means the catalogue carries no rarities for it. Continue past it.
